The Joke

Here I am the entertainment,
I’m the joke of the day.
I’m nothing but this
in your eyes.

I don’t understand people like you,
what the hell do you want from me?
Do you even care?
Who do you care about?
Yourself?

I’m not going to run the show for you
I’m not your plaything.

And in the end
there will be no me and you.
In the end
I’ll be sitting here
alone and wonder.

Who are you really?
Who do you think I am?
Or who do you want me to be?

I’ll be sitting here
thinking about you
when you’re in somebody’s arms,
when you’re so called in love.
That’s when I will remember you the most.

In my memories you have eternity,
in my memories you have me, my love.

This is no good bye
this is I don’t give a shit.
