The Passage

I am standing here by your side
I look at them, I listen to them
these people that you socialize with.
I hear the joy in your voice
when you speak about them.
You call them friends
and I call them strangers.
I’m standing here and feeling this
cold breeze of emotions
breaking through my barricades
and the tears sips through my eyes.
I’m standing here in the passage
of a stranger’s path.
I look down at my feet
and for a moment
I ask myself
Do I exist?
